Religious Education Program
It’s time to begin another year of Religious Education sessions. Enclosed are the materials you will need to register for the Parish Religious Education sessions. We are looking forward to gathering with the children as a parish family.
All Wednesday sessions of Religious Education will meet at the Prince of Peace Catholic School (312 S. 4th St.).
Parent Sacrament sessions occur at Jesus Christ, Prince of Peace Catholic Church (1105 LaMetta Wynn Drive) on Thursday evenings, as the schedule states. There is an additional cost for Sacramental prep per family.

Youth in High school, who wish to be confirmed need to attend these gatherings in addition to the parents attending the Confirmation Meetings.

Parents who teach their children from their home. Parish curriculum can be used for a cost or parents can purchase the Domestic Church Project app. Weekly Mass attendance is a requirement. Parents consume all costs.
Wednesday Religious Education curriculum
Mass each Week – Families are encouraged to join us each week for Mass at the Sacred Heart Chapel beginning at 5:30 PM. Please use the ramp on the parking lot side of the school building.
Elementary School Youth – The kindergarten through fifth grade use Pflaum Publishing with a mix of Sunday Scriptures and Catholic Catechesis.
New 2023 High School Youth Ministry– use the Catechism of the Catholic Church. Youth will explore the questions of our faith and look for answers to the church’s doctrine.
NEW 2023 Middle School Edge Nights–use the Catechism of the Catholic Church. Middle school youth will gather for an evening of faith-filled moral learning.
Second grade and Confirmation Sacramental Preparations – will be taught by the parent/s who will be formed once a month on a Thursday evening and then go home and share the faith with their child as they prepare for the Sacraments. These meetings will take place on a set Thursday each month.
Families need to sign-up for FORMED and AMEN to enrich themselves and their families in the Catholic faith. There are so many things that families at home can share: more information and the QR code enclosed.
Friendly reminder: Weekend Mass attendance is an obligation, not an option.
